Always Late

Yes, I'm a little late with these few halloween shots but that's how I roll, dontcha know? You don't know me very well if you expect anything else. It's only a week late. That's pretty good for me.

Val and Dakota dressed up as Goldilocks and Baby Bear for a party at Val's work; there was a contest. The grand prize for the best get-up was $1000 (did I mention she works at a law firm? Well that 'splains it right? Heck I'll go work there...). I digress.

So anyway, everyone got $100 just for showing up in costume - not bad at all. But there were other prizes and Val got 3rd place or something and got herself $300. Very cool. So here are the pics.




The girls didn't dress up but the boys were pirates.






And we went to my friend Cindy's place for a party and all the kids went trick or treating in her neighborhood. She had some funny face masks so we all donned them and posed. Pretty funny -- and very uncomfortable.



And what is a function without cake? This is the 14 inch cake I made. Pretty plain and simple but yummy if I do say so myself.



So now we're just gorging ourselves on tons of chocolate, because after all there is a parent tax on all halloween candy - you know cuz we have to walk with them to go get it right? LOL! Not good. Especially since I've gained about 3 lbs. in the last couple of weeks. Time to WHOA NELLY! This is where the holiday binging begins for me. And on New Year's Day I'll be making resolutions that I most likely won't keep so whatever.
